As an MSITM student, you will gain the competency and flexibility to create and maintain a competitive edge.  You will learn to excel in today’s rapidly changing, highly competitive IT environment.  You will be introduced to best practices for managing IT functions and interrelationships within an organization, giving you tools that can be immediately applied to your career.

m.s. in Information Technology Management

The MSITM requires students to have previous work experience, be working currently in a full-time or part-time position, completing an internship, or job shadowing. This degree is primarily intended for practicing professional persons who possess a bachelor’s degree in business or technology or a bachelor’s or advanced degree in some other area of specialization and who feel the need for additional study in order to maximize and enhance their ability to contribute to their career, their company, and society. The degree will assist students who have a bachelor’s degree to prepare for further study in doctoral programs.

    • PROFESSOR OF LAW
    • The Honorable Jason Spears has five-plus years providing in-house counsel for healthcare organizations, including issues of online theft, identify fraud, intellectual property, and privacy. Judge Spears has 10 years’ experience as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney specializing in cybercrime, IP theft and wiretapping. Judge Spears was appointed a US Marshall as part of a task force that authored all search warrants, cell phone traces and wiretapping for the U. S. Department of Justice. For the past four years, he has been a Judge for the 6th Judicial Circuit Court (Cabell County, WV) hearing multiple cases involving cybercrime and privacy. He teaches Cyberlaw.
    • Dr. Ehi (Eddy) Aimiuwu

    • PROFESSOR OF IT MANAGEMENT
    • Dr. Ehi. E. Aimiuwu is an Assistant Professor in the Master of Science in Information Technology Management (MSITM) program. Dr. Aimiuwu is a member of the Project Management Institute and a research reviewer for both information systems journals and conferences. His areas of interest include social media, e-commerce, online education, big data, business intelligence, green technology, and Web analytics. Some of his research has been published in the International Journal of Business Intelligence Research.
    • Dr. Jimmy Flores

    • PROFESSOR OF IT AND MANAGEMENT
    • Dr. Flores, a nationally sought-after speaker in business management, holds multiple master’s degrees and two doctorates, a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Phoenix and a Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University. Combining professional speaking and higher education, Dr. Flores has taught at several institutions since 1999, including Texas A&M.

Academic Documents
  • Soft copies of all Bachelors Transcripts
    • Official Transcripts must be delivered within the first 16 weeks of the semester.
  • Credential evaluation (CU Evaluation, WES, EP, ECE or other)
  • This requirement is waived if the student has a Bachelor’s degree from a University Grant Commission (UGC) accredited university.
  • GRE or GMAT 
    • This may be waived if the student has earned a four-year Bachelor’s degree from a UGC accredited college or university, with a First Class or higher designation. 
    • This requirement may be waived if the student earns a 3.0 GPA in their first two 8-week terms.
    • If the student’s GPA is below 3.0, the student must submit official GRE scores that meet the university standard in order to continue.
English Proficiency Scores
  • CU ESL Test, TOEFL score 80, IELTS score 6.0, or Pearson score 53
    • If a student does not meet the requirement, the student will receive a IELTS training for free toward training in English proficiency. Students will have until the end of the second 8-week term to retest to fulfill this requirement. 
    • This requirement may be waived if the student earns a 3.0 GPA in their first two 8-week terms.
